Fine lake scenery on winter with great shadows.
Take a closer look to upper left side of the picture and notice two "el finlandes locos" on the ice wearing swimsuits!

The humans are 'loco' for sure, but what a scenic shot...but I want Spring...be gone with the snow!!!

I'm intrigued by the people in bathing suits - did you ever find out what they were doing? Or is it seasonal madness caused after too much snow?!!

Yes, I know what those people are doing on ice wearing bathing suits.
There is a swimming hole on the ice on the other, shadow, side of yellow building.
They came from there to have some sun bathing between swimming sessions.
Chilly...hrrr...
Now this is quite a contrast to those sunny Australian shots! Brrrr. I feel cold just looking at this one. Great shot and gives us that feeling of the icy cold of winter. Captures that sense of strength and isolation in this wintry landscape.
Oh I love those shadows against the snow. Wonderful scene. As for those crazy Finns in the swimming suits...well, I'm half Finnish, but I guess I didn't inherit the I'm-crazy-so-let's-go-ice swimming gene! I hope spring comes your way soon. Hi from lovely sunny northern California...
