It's watery wednesday again!

Long time no WW, but now I had just a perfect photo for Watery Wednesday.

Yes, it is a swimming hole in ice. They do swim in it during winter.
At the time when this photo was taken there were nobody since the sauna wasn't open yet.
After a little while it will be full of winter swimmers.

If you take a close look you might see there is a water pump for keeping it open since temperature is pretty low, about -22 Celsius.

Might just be the coolest hobby of them all?

Tammerkoski docking

A great scene from last sunday. Tammerkoski boat is shortly docking to unload old and reload new customers for cruise on lake Pyhäjärvi, Tampere, Finland.

Notice a boy standing outside of the boat...is he going to jump?
Yes, he is, but not for suicide. He is going to attach docking ropes (or what ever they are called).

Those guys were cruising along canals by this fine wooden boat.
They also have a bicycle with them....propably if something bad should happen to their boat ;-)
